In 2021, Erste Tegernseer Kaffeerösterei took a significant step towards full transparency and sustainability: by acquiring a research project in the Motagua Valley in Guatemala, a unique coffee research plantation is being established at Finca "El Gigante."

This exclusive plot of land is intended to produce the best coffee in Guatemala in the future, thus embodying the philosophy "coffee – from plant to cup" at the highest level. The combination of ideal climatic conditions, meticulous craftsmanship, and a deep-rooted appreciation for people and nature makes this project a beacon of coffee development.
