Aeropress

This method is ideal for preparing a strong, aromatic, and perfectly balanced coffee. Here’s a step-by-step guide to achieving the best results.

1 - Prepare filter

Place the AeroPress filter paper in the filter cap. Thoroughly moisten the paper with hot water to remove any paper taste, and at the same time warm your coffee cup or carafe. For the "inverted method," turn the AeroPress upside down: pull the plunger out a bit, place it stably on the work surface, and then place the brewing chamber on top.

2 - Grind coffee

Weigh out exactly 16 grams of whole beans. Grind the beans to a fine-medium grind (slightly finer than for a classic pour-over, roughly like fine table salt). Due to the short contact time of water with the coffee, this grind ensures ideal flavor extraction.

3 - Have a seat

Using the funnel, pour 16 grams of ground coffee into the inverted AeroPress brew chamber. Gently shake the device until the coffee grounds form an even surface. Now, place the AeroPress securely on your scale and tare it to "0 grams."

4 - Pour coffee

Bring the water to a boil and then let it cool briefly until it reaches the ideal temperature of 90–92 °C. Start the timer and quickly pour in 220 grams of water. Then stir the coffee thoroughly for about 10 seconds to ensure that all the coffee grounds are evenly moistened and no dry spots remain.

5 - Extraction & Serving

Screw the filter cap, along with the moistened filter, tightly onto the brewing chamber. Allow the coffee to steep for a total of 1:30 minutes (steeping time approx. 30–45 seconds). Then place your inverted cup or carafe on top of the lid, turn the entire setup over with one fluid motion, and press the plunger down with even, gentle pressure for about 30 seconds until you hear a slight hiss.

6 - Enjoy

Remove the AeroPress from your cup. Swirl the freshly brewed coffee briefly to perfectly distribute the aromas. If necessary, let it cool for another moment until it reaches the optimal drinking temperature. We wish you the highest enjoyment!
